Light, in its deepest dimension, is not merely a physical phenomenon but a vital principle — the essential spark that animates existence and transcends matter. It is energy, luminous consciousness, the intangible manifestation of life in its purest form.

Across cultures, light is a universal symbol of spiritual essence and transformation. In the Chinese tradition, Shen, Guang, and Ling represent the energetic flow that defines life and spirituality. Hinduism’s Atman is the divine inner self, while Buddhism’s Bodhi signifies enlightenment. In Christianity, Lux Dei is God’s guiding radiance. Andean traditions revere the sacred fire as a bridge between the human and the cosmic, while alchemy and hermeticism see the Philosophical Sun as the hidden light that fuels spiritual transmutation. In all these traditions, light is more than mere illumination — it is the force that structures being.

This piece materializes six magical representations of the birth of that light in the solar plexus, the energetic center where vitality takes shape. Its oval format evokes an eye — a symbol of vision and revelation — positioned over the chest like a window into the invisible and the essential. Thus, the work invites us to uncover this luminous anatomy, the one that not only inhabits us but also sustains and keeps us alive.

These works explore similar color tones, with slight variations, to express subtlety. In each piece, light will be represented by an intense red, providing the necessary accents to convey its message. Embroidery and the use of fabric scraps will add texture and enhance the sharpness of this project.

Oval in shape, it represents an eye slipping into the center of the human chest, allowing us to observe the mechanism of the vital spark that inhabits us.
